Introduction to the school

Situated in Garrowhill, in the east end of Glasgow, Garrowhill Primary Primary currently caters for approx 450 pupils, with 16 classes covering all primary years from Primary 1 to Primary 7 on a co-educational basis. The year groups are as follows:

P1, P2, P3, P4, P5, P6, P7    

 
The school has a capacity to cater for over 500 pupils (parents should note that the operational capacity of the school may vary, dependent upon the number of pupils at each stage and on the way classes are organised).

The school old school building was opened in 1939 and consisted of a horse shoe shaped main building. In January 2015, we moved to a new state of the art learning facility on the same campus which includes classrooms, library, assembly hall, gym hall, music room, cook school and conference room.
The school is a member of the Bannerman Learning Community.
