 Parent Council

Garrowhill Primary School’s Parent Council (GPPC) consists of parents, carers, school staff, co-opted members from the fundraising committee and local community. The objectives of the Parent Council are as follows:-

  • To work in partnership with the school to create a welcoming school which is inclusive for all parents
  • To promote partnership between the school, its pupils and all its parents and carers
  • To develop and engage in activities which support the education and welfare of the pupils
  • To identify and represent the views of parents and carers on the education provided by the school and other matters affecting the education and welfare of the pupils
The GPPC’s constitution was created when it was formed from the previous School Board and new members in May 2007.  The Parent Council meets every quarter. Parents and carers are welcome to pass their concerns/views relating to the school and their children to any of the members of the Parent Council.
Details of the members of the Parent Council can be found by contacting the school office.

Minutes of meetings can also be obtained from school office.
