Mr Halewood in India
Mr Halewood set off on his travels to India last week as part of an international learning partnership we are hoping to establish between our school and teachers in Bangalore.
Mr Halewood and two colleagues from Glasgow are staying in Silvepura village which is 40km north of Bangalore. During the visit Mr Halewood will visit a local village school called Sita School as well as a TVS school in Tumkur where they will teach children and staff about our Christian festival of Christmas.
During the visit we hope Mr Halewood learns more about the TVS schools' philosophy on child centred teaching and assessment which were first shared a few years ago when TVS teachers visited Garrowhill Primary.
Mr Halewood has been keeping in touch and e-mailed his best wishes to Miss Harris for her retirement. We look forward to his safe return.
