Road Safety Campaign
This week ten pupils from Tiree visited Glasgow Road and the streets surrounding the school to help raise awareness of safe parking and driving at a safe speed to keep all our children safe when travelling to and from school. The messages delivered to all drivers are shown below:
It only takes a few minutes to park nearby and walk the rest of the way.
School Keep Clear areas are clearly defined by the yellow ziz - zag markings.
It is illegal to stop on the School Keep Clear, zig- zag markings outside Glasgow schools.
If you position your vehicle on them you face a £60 penalty notice.
Your vehicle may be transported to the pound and it will cost you a further £150 to retrieve.
Therefore please continue to support the school and keep our children safe by parking and driving safely.
